The story below is a comic interpretation of the first lesson in Ancient Greek I had in high school. I made the comic for the school magazine / ‘student newspaper’. We were taught (ancient) Greek with the “Hellenike” book as course material. The very first text of the first chapter managed to tell an engaging story constructed from what is obviously a very limited vocabulary.

The comic uses the exact Dutch translation in its text, while ridiculing the text and the story through its drawings.
